Jeremy Willans

Born in Kent in 1959 I started playing aged 16 during the school holidays encouraged by my grandfather Lundie Rees, who ran a bridge club in Somerset and was one of the first to host P & O bridge cruises. I am a London stockbroker and commute from Tunbridge Wells where I have been playing bridge as one of my main hobbies since my teens, as well as enjoying anything to do with sport! I have decided to retire in 2019 to concentrate on more golf, travel and bridge. I am a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards and Chair of the committee that organizes the annual Inter-Livery Bridge Competition held at Drapers Hall-London In 1993 the Welsh Nationals at Porthcawl was particularly rewarding when I won the Main Pairs as well as the Swiss Teams and Men’s Pairs promoting me to Grand Master (aged 34).
