I am Maks, aged 13 years old and live in London. I was first introduced to bridge and taught the rules by my dad when I was 8 years old, but I started spending more time playing the game only two years later when I joined the King's College School bridge club. Last year I played in my first face-to-face tournament with my dad at the Wimbledon Bridge Club, our goal being not to come last. We managed a strong 3rd to last with a whopping score of 42.71%. Ever since, my results and game have steadily improved as I have tried to play and practise at every opportunity. A few months later, I was pleasantly surprised to have placed 4th nationally in a Spring Sims Pairs tournament. Besides bridge, I enjoy playing chess, football and tennis.
