Nathan Galpin

I am 17 years old and first learnt to play bridge when I was around 12 years old at Reading School. At first, I played on a casual basis and didn’t start getting serious about bridge until the summer of 2016. Over the course of a few weeks I formed a strong partnership with Jack Lawrence and we went on to attend a junior event in Cheltenham. We subsequently both joined the Under 20s squad and have continued to play at a more serious level. Though yet to represent England I’ve thoroughly enjoyed competing at junior events such as the JTI in Loughborough (and even gaining some trophies) and I’m look forward to seeing where bridge will take me.

Next year I’m looking to study English Literature at degree level and keep up my secondary passion for the world of theatre.
