Roland hooked himself on bridge at the age of 10 at the Loughborough teach-in by making his first (doubled) slam at speedball.
He plays at local bridge clubs and at Sussex events when he can.
Outside bridge he is starting to study for GCSEs, plays for his school chess team, and enjoys most sports. Specialty: 'thoughtful defence'
