Suzanne Anisfeld, member of Watford and Bushey Bridge Club, has recently appeared on Channel 4's Countdown. Her episode aired earlier this week, 21st January 2025.
In the program, Suzanne talks about her love of bridge, and mentions her book "All hands on deck - tales from the table", which previously featured on this blog in 2023.
There are several bridge related puns throughout the program. Her opponent was a marine pilot and the presenter Colin Murray's final punchline was "Suzanne Anisfeld is one 9-letter word away from a mutiny but will it be a bridge too far?"
This isn't Suzanne's first time on Countdown, she first appeared on the program back in 2011 where she unfortunately lost by 2 points. The episode this week was closer, but unfortunately Suzanne lost by just 1 point!
