Please join us at the Four-star Leonardo Hotel in Milton Keynes on the weekend of 27th and 28th February for the brand new National Teams Weekend for the Susanna Gross Trophy.
The venue is a short walk (just over half a mile) from Milton Keynes Central Train station and has lots of very cheap parking around the hotel. It is an easy daily commute for a lot of players but we also have a very good rate for those wanting to stay at the hotel on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th.
Saturday will see all the teams split into four pools, each of which will have two seeded teams. Teams will play all other teams in their pool and the IMP score will be converted to VPs. The precise number of boards played will depend on the number of teams in each pool but will be between 45 and 54 boards. The exact number will be confirmed when entries close or the event is full.
The top two teams in each pool will go forward to Sunday’s eight team all-play-all final for the Susanna Gross Trophy (Sponsored by The Spectator magazine), with all other teams playing in a Swiss Teams. Both events on Sunday will be 7 x7 board rounds.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and sweet treats are all included in the entry price. As well as the main trophy, there is also a prize fund which includes a prize for the best non-expert team.
For those who want to travel on the Friday, there will be a pre-event dinner in the hotel, at the end of which, the teams will be drawn into their pools for Saturday. It is hoped that this can be live streamed via social media.

Places are limited and it is anticipated this event will fill so early entry is strongly advised.

There are limited places available just for the Swiss Teams on the Sunday @ £200 per team
