The EBU Nine-High Corwen Trophy

- the competition for counties' pairs nine-high champions!

22nd May 2027, RealBridge & BBO

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR IN CHARGE: TBC

The Nine-High Corwen is a new event open to all members with an NGS grade Two-Nine inclusive on 1st January 2026.

Players can only qualify for their county of primary allegiance, as it stands on 1st January 2026. The EBU will provide each county with a list of eligible members. As qualification is based on NGS, all players will need to have their NGS visible. There will be same number of qualifying pairs from each county as for the Corwen. Counties can determine their own qualification route.

Qualification will happen between 1st Dec 2026 and 30th April 2027.

Counties should notify the EBU of qualifiers by 7th May 2027.

The Final will be played online (2x18-board sessions) on 22nd May 2027, with a choice of playing on either BBO or RealBridge. Please note: if playing on BBO, members will need to provide their BBO usernames.

To enter

By entering an EBU congress or event you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out in the Terms and Conditions document.

County Secretaries will be provided with an entry form by EBU staff at a suitable time ahead of the event.

Full payment must be made at the time of entering. Those who play in an event without having entered and paid beforehand will be subject to an additional financial penalty of £20.
