The EBU Year End Congress

- a festival of bridge for the end-of-year holiday period!

This Year End congress will be held between Christmas and New Year over four days.

The Swiss Teams and Swiss Pairs are both stratified events.

Please enter prior to the office closing for Christmas on Tuesday 24th. Don't forget you can always enter online via your My EBU. If this is not possible then please enter and pay on the day, allowing plenty of time to do so.

Master Points

All of the congress events are fully Green Pointed.

Agreements

Level 4 agreements are permitted in all of the main congress events. Level 2 agreements are permitted in the Jack High Swiss Pairs.

Venue and Tariff

2024 Venue Information

Marlborough Primary School, Draycott Ave, Chelsea, London SW3 3AP.

Accommodation: There is no linked accommodation at the venue, however, there are hotels nearby. 

Refreshments: There will be free onsite, self-service water, tea and coffee. Players may also bring their own food and drinks. To reduce waste, we would encourage people to bring your own re-usable water bottles.

There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants and shops in the area to purchase food and drinks. There is a Sainsbury's a Starbucks and an independent café across the road from the venue, as well as more options including Pret-a-Manger and McDonalds just a 6-8 minute walk away.

Parking and Travel Information

Travel

The nearest tube station is South Kensington, on the Piccadilly, District & Circle lines. 

Players should be aware that the holiday period is a common occasion for engineering work on rail and tube lines. Please allow plenty of time for travel to the venue. See the Transport for London and National Rail websites for further information.

Parking

There is paid-parking at car parks in the area, and some on-street parking in the local area is free (according to the information on the local council website) but do take care to check that this applies to where you have parked. It is the players' responsibility to ensure they comply with the regulations in force.
