Dear EBU member
During these strange and unprecedented times we are all having to adapt. The EBU have been working hard to try and keep as many of you as possible playing the game you love. Whether it be in your new Virtual Clubs or in one of the many EBU BBO tournaments, thousands of you have embraced a whole new world, some making new acquaintances and alliances.
We wanted to keep you informed of the range of competitions taking place of the next few weeks.
National Hanidcap Pairs
Due to covid 19, we have made the decision to reschedule the National Handicap Pairs. The event will now take place online on 4th October, the competition format will remain the same. This event is open to all virtual clubs, if your club doesn't yet have a Virtual Club, please contact jonathan@ebu.co.uk for help in setting one up. We also expect to run a national heat of this, for those whose local clubs are not running it.
The special thing about this competition is that the results will be handicapped, with each pairs' score reduced by the average of their NGS grades, so everyone will have a chance of winning simply by playing better than usual.
