EBU Event Focus
Issue 68: May 2018

Dear EBU member

Firstly, an apology that it wasn't possible to circulate an Event Focus last month - other commitments, including the GDPR (more on that below), got in the way. But at least the issue for this month has reached you early in the month.

As always, if you have any queries about any of the events featured here then please don't hesitate to contact the Competitions Department on 01296 317203/219 or at comps@ebu.co.uk. Entries can be made by calling this number, or through My EBU, the members area of the website - www.ebu.co.uk/members.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

You will hopefully have received information from the EBU by email last week outlining how it will comply with the forthcoming GDPR - if it didn't reach your inbox you can read it here.

We hope that as you have played in EBU competitions in the past you are happy to receive information about forthcoming competitions, but you can unsubscribe from these newsletters/emails.

At the foot of all Event Focus newsletters is an option to unsubscribe from receiving these emails. We also take that as an indication that you do not want to receive any emails which we sporadically send relating to specific competitions.

Assuming you stay on our 'general mailing list' for competitions, when we contact you about specific events there will be an option to unsubscribe from receiving emails about that event. You can therefore better tailor the competitions-related emails you receive from us.

Of course, if you want to stop the EBU sending you any emails (whether about competitions or any other subject) then you should change your preference on My EBU.
