Find a bridge club

Our clubs are very special. An EBU bridge club not only provides a place to play or learn duplicate bridge, but can also be a great way to make new friends. Many play both face to face and online. Clubs vary in size and character and we would like to connect you to the right one. Search here to discover our clubs; in many cases we have full details of their forthcoming schedule of games. For best results the postcode should be a complete postcode, such as your current location.

Warm welcome. All EBU clubs listed here are committed to maintaining a friendly atmosphere and most will welcome players of all levels.

Key to club facilities

  • Refreshments. Hot and cold drinks are available. Often there is a small extra charge. Some clubs have a full bar.
  • Hosting. This means you can turn up without a partner. Some clubs ask for 24 hours notice, so we encourage you to check the club website for full details.
  • Teaching. This means the club can teach you bridge, or direct you to a suitable teacher, even if you have no experience whatsoever.
  • Gentle bridge. Also known as supervised play, this means the club runs some sessions for beginners. Help will be available and the pace of play will be slower than at standard club sessions.

Note that ALL our clubs have the opportunity to help you win master points and to track your bridge progress via our unique National Grading Scheme.

About duplicate bridge

EBU clubs generally play duplicate bridge, where multiple tables play the same cards in turn, reducing the luck factor. In face to face games, most clubs also use bidding boxes. If you are unfamiliar with these, contact the club in advance and someone will be glad to explain how to use them; it is not difficult!
