EBU Convention Card for a robot

We are trying (in Cheltenham BC) to make club members more comfortable in playing against robots, and would like to show them the robot system in the form of an EBU convention card that they would recognise. Has anyone come across one or do we need to create it from scratch?

  • Login and go to Account - convention cards. The robot’s card is there.

  • Assuming you're talking about the BBO robots:

The card Triffid discusses isn't in EBU format (or even any other format, really, it's just a short system summary). The best description I know of what the robot plays is in its system notes.

One problem in writing a card is that there are some situations where nobody seems to be really sure what the robot plays (e.g. I've heard rumours about how its defensive signalling works, but nobody seems to be sure and it might well play spot cards at random). The documentation says that it plays standard attitude on the opening lead, but gives no information beyond that.

One other problem is that the robot always assumes you're playing the same system it is. So, for example, in the "defence to multi 2!d" slot on the card, you would have to write the defence the robot uses against a weak 2!d, because that's what it'll assume that you're playing.
