Recovering scores from past sessions

I know that if I need to reconnect EBUScore to the BCS database from a past session I can retrieve the event, go to "bridgemate scoring" and press the buttons to launch BCS without resetting the server or creating a new session, BCS control will be launched and all the names and scores will be there. The TDs at my club are interested in this, in particular for cases where an over-eager scorer closes and uploads the session before all the scores have reached the scoring programme.

All the other TDs use ScoreBridge. Does anyone know how to recover an old BCS database with ScoreBridge?

  • You can recover a single session/section from BWS to EBUScore even if the event was originally scored with Scorebridge - I know this is not what you are asking - but it is a rescue mechanism
The button in EBUScore Pairs is something like "Import event from BWS".

  • Thanks, Robin, that's useful to know.

It helps to launch BCS before doing the import into Scorebridge. We had a flaky PC for a while and this had to be done to keep the session going.
