pair quits half way through a session - for good reasons

I recently had a pair leave after 6 rounds of a 12 round session, due to an emergency. (a) should they be deleted from the session or given an adjusted score and (b) If the first, how does one do that in Scorebridge?

The first bit of this is covered in sections 2.4.2 & 2.4.5 of the White Book.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question about Scorebridge though.

  • Does not 2.4.4 apply rather than 2.4.2? As the pair actually completed half the session, their scores stand and artificial assigned scores are awarded for the remainder of the session. Now there is no issue with the scoring program.

Had the pair not completed half the session, then if the pair was a moving pair, you would need to enter "not played" into the bridgemates (for the boards at the tables where the pair would have sat) for the remaining part of the session, and afterwards in Scorebridge simply delete the lines on the travellers where there is a score for the pair, and then delete their names from the names list.
