Robots

When I look at the amount over par for players in a session robots seem to have two or three figures. Can anyone explain this please?

  • Robots may be playing in more than one partnership in a game, so they get a figure for each of their results.

  • It looks very complicated. In a session with two people playing with robots and a pair of robots instead of a sitout, the people with robots both have the same set of four numbers. Presumably only one of these figures will apply to the live player.
I'm not tempted to play with a robot partner but just wondered how it worked. Our online Club sessions now always use robots for sitouts.
(We seem to have people who prefer robots to looking for partners. Sometimes we get three or four.)

It's currently just a presentation issue on My EBU, which has just never been corrected since the start of using BBO. Only one of the figures will apply to the live player as you say, and will appear in the "Par" column on My EBU for that player.

  • Thanks for replies.
