There is also a new document for ruling & appeals from matches played privately online. This document titled General Regulations – Rulings & Appeals in Matches Played Privately Online, can be viewed online and downloaded.
Some members are concerned at the possibility of cheating when playing online. This possibility does exist in all online games (as in face-to-face games), but there are a number of things that can be done to minimise the risk.
The World Bridge Federation Executive Council has announced a gender neutral "translation" of the laws of Duplicate Bridge. This work was championed by EBU Tournament Director Nicole Barclay and then proposed by Chairman of the Laws Committee, Ton Kooijman at the Executive Council in Wuhan, September 2019. The new documents have now been approved and are available to download on the WBF website.
