The National Club Committee held its second meeting on 1st May 2012. Amongst the items discussed was the EBUs application for Charitable Status, the target date for this being 1 April 2013.
County Reps were informed that clubs could apply for extra sessions of charity bridge (exempt from P2P charges) by contacting the EBU Head Office.
Minibridge for children in the Oxon/Berk/Bucks region was proving very successful. Anyone interested in finding out more about this Chiltern Initiative should contact Colin OHara (chairman of the Eastern Regional Club Committee) at cejohara@hotmail.com.

The next meeting of the National Club Committee is on 20 November. Regional Club Committee meetings will be held ahead of these so that issues for discussion can be cascaded upwards. If your club has any issues which it would like to raise then do contact your County Representative; a list of these can be found here. If your county does not yet have a CCR, please consider whether anyone at your club might be suitable and willing to take on this important role. If there is, please inform your County Secretary.
