Club and County TD Training Courses

Club TD Training Courses

Club Tournament Directors Courses are run by English Bridge Education and Development (EBED) to help equip participants with the necessary skills which will enable them to run events, from local club duplicates to county events and beyond.

Upcoming courses are listed at www.ebedcio.org.uk/td-course-calendar.

Club Tournament Director Courses are open to all bridge players and clubs, regardless of EBU affiliation. They are the first step on the ladder and consist of four modules: Essentials, Book Rulings, Judgement Rulings and Assessment. These courses are run nationally in response to demand from individual clubs. Please email richard@ebedcio.org.uk if your club would be interested in hosting a suite of these courses.

County TD Preparation Day

On Saturday 20th May there will be a County TD Preparation Day. This is for more experienced directors, with ambitions to progress to a county or national level. This will be held at the EBU Headquarters in Aylesbury, and gives delegates a flavour of harder book and judgement rulings and also covers use of the EBU’s White Book (the essential guide for tournament organisers). Full details of the course are here.

Places on the course are limited, so delegates should be recommended by your county. Further details are available from Richard Banbury - 01296 317218 or by email: richard@ebedcio.org.uk.

Other 1/2 or 1day TD Training Courses

In addition EBED can run bespoke half or one day courses tailored to the objectives of the host club/county which might include (not exhaustive).
