Club Management Focus: Winter 2019

Logging in to My EBU with multiple accounts

The latest release of My EBU has enabled a feature that clubs have been asking for for a while - the ability to log into more than one account at a time. Previously, if you wanted to switch from the club to a member, you had to log out of the club and log back in as the member, requiring you to enter your password each time.

This new feature is still being tested, so we're not making it widely available just yet, but here are instructions for any computer-literate club admins who might like to give it a try.

  1. Visit My EBU and open up the javascript console (CTRL+SHIFT+J in Chrome).
  2. At the command line, enter the following: EBU.SetMultiUser(true)
  3. You'll be logged out of your current account and will need to log back in, but now every time you visit My EBU, instead of taking you in directly it will offer you the choice of accounts you are currently logged in to. Press the appropriate button, and you will log in to that account.
  4. This setting will be remembered in your browser, so you don't have to do this every time.
  5. If you don't like it, you can switch back by using the same process, replacing "true" with "false".

If none of that means anything to you, don't worry about it. We will make this more user-friendly, with menu options and a better way to switch accounts, but for now we want to keep the users of the new feature small. If you have any feedback, let me know on michael@ebu.co.uk.
