The local bridge club in Brierfield recently had a charity event and raised £2500 for a local charity.
Brierfield Bridge Club in Lancashire have recently presented a cheque for the impressive total of £2,500 to local charity, Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The event included a bridge drive, afternoon tea, craft and cake stall and a raffle. Many members helped towards the success of the event and local businesses contributed towards raffle prizes
The club holds two main charity events each year and this was a record amount raised for any charity from a single event.
Louise Grant who is Rosemere’s East Lancashire fundraising coordinator said “We are very grateful to everyone at Brierfield Bridge Club for holding what was a thoroughly enjoyable event that raised a tremendous amount of money for our charity”
Representatives from Rosemere came to the club and were presented with the cheque.
