Elections Held at AGM


The Board of Directors, and the Standing Committees, of the EBU were elected at the AGM this month. They are now as follows:

The Board

There were two nominees for two positions. Therefore, no election was needed. Both joined the Board for a three-year term.
Gillian Fawcett
Bev Purvis
In addition to those elected the Board of Directors may also appoint up to two Directors for one year at a time. Appointments for 2020 will be considered at the meeting of the Board in January.

EBU Chairman

There was one nomination for the position. Therefore, no election was needed and Ian Payn became EBU Chairman for a three-year term.

EBU Vice-Chairman

There was one nomination for the position. Therefore, no election was needed and Gillian Fawcett became EBU Vice-Chairman for a three-year term.

The Selection Committee

There were three nominees for two positions. The votes received were as follows:-
Elected for a three year term, expiring in 2021: Paul Barden - 43 votes; Alan Mould – 41 votes
Not elected: Neil Rosen – 35 votes

The Laws & Ethics Committee

There were three nominees for three positions. Therefore, no election was needed. All three were re-elected for a three-year term.
