Setting Up Online Conferencing for Your Club

Following feedback from the County Working Group Meeting, a new short guide to setting up online conferencing has been created. The aim is to help Clubs and Counties that are geographically far apart, to be able to collaborate by having meetings via video conference.

The new guide can be found, here. It includes how to set up and use accounts on three of the main available platforms, Skype, Zoom and Google Hangouts.

Does your club or county already use video conferencing? Have you found it useful? If so we would love to hear your stories or experience to share with others, please contact sam@ebu.co.uk.

We would also like to remind clubs that when sending emails to a large group of people, it is best to use BCC or blind carbon copy. This way the email addresses are not shown to everyone else on the mailing list. Although this option is not always obvious, it is worth checking your email program and becoming familiar with how to add addresses in the BCC box as this will avoid any GDPR issues.
