Multiple winners at Really Easy Weekend

The Spring Really Easy Weekend took place in Wroxton, near Banbury, on 1st to 3rd April. It was aimed at less experienced players, who enjoyed an event which combined competitions with the social aspects of a residential weekend. Five different pairs won competitions across the three days.

Dave Spink (Kent) & Gerry Lynch (Northants) (pictured) won Sunday's Swiss Pairs competition. They won all five of their matches, and finished 23 VPs clear of the field. Tony French & Sue French (both Essex) were second, with Sarah Hubbard (Avon) & Barry Davies third.

In the pairs competitions on Friday and Saturday the winners were Pat Flavell & Ken Flavell (both Herts) (twice), Jan Radley & John Radley (both Essex) (twice), Ivor Richards & Jill Richards (both Sussex), and Valerie Fullforth & Gill Humby (both Herts).

The next Really Easy Weekend will be held in Alfriston, in East Sussex, on 28th to 30th October 2016. We will return to Wroxton next April, with dates also in the diary for Alfriston in June 2017, and Stratford-upon-Avon in October 2017.

In addition, the Really Easy Congress will take place as part of the Summer Meeting at Eastbourne, on 22nd - 25th August. This caters for all levels of 'novice' players - from those who have recently learnt, through to those who play club bridge but have not yet moved on to 'congress bridge' - and includes lessons and competitions. Please see the event webpage for more information.
