The EBU has said a fond farewell to John Pain who has retired after fifteen years with the organisation. John was Education Manager for many years – looking after the teachers' association EBTA (formerly EBUTA), TD training and bridge education in schools, in addition to the Bridge for All work - and more recently looked after Laws & Ethics matters (a role which will be taken on by Ian Mitchell).
All the staff wish him well in his retirement, although he will be returning to Aylesbury occasionally as he will be doing some work for English Bridge Education and Development, including assisting with their archive of teaching materials.
