Olivia Bailey

Olivia is 21 years old and lives in Edinburgh.

She first played for the Scottish Junior team in the Peggy Bayer in 2013. Having competed in a further 2 Peggy Bayer's and in 2 Junior European Team Championships events, her bridge career reached its pinnacle by winning a Gold Medal at the Junior European Mixed Pairs with Jun Nakamaru-Pinder in 2016. Olivia switched allegiance and joined the English junior squad in September 2016. She recently played in the U26 Women’s Team at the European Youth Team Championship with Hanna Tuus, where the won a bronze medal.

Aside from playing bridge, Olivia has graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Geographical Science. She is currently working for Guide Dogs for the Blind as a full time volunteer, training a guide dog puppy called Spirit. Olivia plans to pursue a career in financial management in the future.

Other hobbies include singing, volleyball and playing the piano, shopping and socialising with friends.
