Peter Shelley

Peter learnt the game at university in the 1970's but played relatively little competitive bridge. He trained as an actuary and gave up bridge entirely due to family and work commitments; he only started playing again following his retirement in 2012.

In 2017 he had the good fortune to form a partnership with Trevor Ward, and further good fortune to find excellent teammates with whom they managed to win the trials for the 2018 European Seniors in Ostend, where the team qualified (just!) for the 2019 World Seniors in China.
