Trevor Ward

I've been playing bridge for fifty-five years and have won a few major events during that time including Crockfords, Two Stars Pairs, Tollemache and come close in some others including the Spring Fours. Internationally, our seniors team finished 8th in the European Championship in 2018, which was just enough for us to qualify for the Seniors World Championship, the D'Orsi Bowl, which was held in Wuhan the following year. Our team played well and won the silver medal. Unfortunately, I also returned home with Covid 19, though fortunately I fully recovered.

Some 11 years ago, I worked in Edinburgh for a year or two and was invited to play bridge there for the "Forty Niners" led by Ian Sime, so I'm looking forward to renewing some old acquaintances in the Teltscher Trophy in Stirling this year.

Away from bridge, I live close to the Mendip Hills in Somerset and work part-time on green finance for our local wildlife trust.
