The England team of Andrew Black, David Gold, Gunnar Hallberg, Phil King, Andrew McIntosh & Derek Patterson have won a bronze medal in the European Champions Cup, bridge's equivalent of football's Champions League, in Eilat over the weekend.
They finished third in the Round Robin, putting them in the main Semi-Finals. There they lost to the Polish Connector team, but they came through the 3/4 Playoff, beating the Norwegian Sunndalsøra team, to win the medal.
