June's competition for our online games, hosted by Funbridge, has concluded, with Andrew Eastwood finishing top of the leader board. His best four scores in the month averaged 66.92%, and he wins £30. There were also cash prizes for second to fifth places.
July is the first month of the new changes with the Funbridge games. They now take place on every day of the year, with Monday and Friday games being scored by IMPs. Another innovation started this month is that all games will run midnight - midnight (24 hours) and you can start at any time, stopping and restarting as often as needed. Master Points are awarded in every game, and as well as the monthly competition, there is also an annual competition with cash prizes.
In addition, there are now two handicap prizes for the players whose scores exceed their NGS by the greatest amount. Only players whose NGS is public will be eligible and it will be based on their grade at the time of the first game they play in the month.
