The Seniors Congress took place in Daventry over the weekend.
The Championship Pairs was won by Jeremy Dhondy & Bill Hirst (pictured), who finished on 54.33%, just 0.16% ahead of second place pair David Norman & Arun Suri. Raymond Semp & Rhona Goldenfield were third with 53.37%.
In the 'B Final' of the competition, Jon Downing & Julian Wernick had a winning score of 56.73%, (see picture here). In second place were Simon Stokes & Alison Nichols with 55.61%, and in joint third on 53.37% were David Barnes & Mike Wenble and Joan Murphy & David Killick.
The Swiss Pairs competition - for those eliminated from the Championship Pairs, or joining the congress later - was won by Bob Foster & Val Cooper (see picture here), who were a whole 9 VPs ahead of second placed Roland Gronau & David Wing. In third place were Pat Dowdeswell & Mike Ribbins with 116 VPs.
The Swiss Teams event was won by the team of Jeremy Dhondy, Celia Oram and Derek Oram, (along with Bill Hirst, not pictured) (see picture here) finishing 11 VPs ahead of Paula Hopkinson, Dick Davey, Nigel Wolfendale & Phil Thornton.
