AGM
The EBU AGM was held last week in London. You can view the full details of the Results of AGM elections; Sim Pairs Prize winners and Award winners on the EBU website. The minutes will be available soon.
UMS Fees
At the EBU AGM, the Shareholder agreed for the forthcoming year, Universal Membership fees will increase by 1p to 46p from 1st April 2025. The Club Annual Subscription will increase to £30 from 1st April 2025. County fees will be confirmed in February 2025.
Club Seminar
The recording of the latest club seminar "Running Handicap Pairs" is now available to view on the EBU YouTube Channel. In addition to the seminar, you may find the following guide EBUScores Pairs using Handicapping helpful.

The Competitions Working Group
As a reminder, we would like to invite clubs to host a heat of the Masters Pairs (23rd February) and the National Handicap Pairs Championship (7th September) in 2025. If you would like to register to host either or both events, please email louise@ebu.co.uk. Further details will be available nearer the time.
In 2025 the National Pairs Regional Finals will, where possible, be hosted online by Counties on Sunday 23rd March (two sessions). Counties are invited to apply to host a Regional final. We intend that two instances of each Regional final be held per region, one on BBO and another on RealBridge. If your County is interested in hosting a Regional final please apply to louise@ebu.co.uk by 31st January 2025.

Club Teacher Workshops
New Club Director Training course in Barrow-In-Furness, January-February 2025. The trainer for this event is Ken Johnston. It will be an intensive weekend running Day 1 on the Saturday and Day 2 on the Sunday. More details:

How to Book
Either, book and pay through an EBU club, a club official should email Clive@ebedcio.org.uk, giving details of the club, the sessions required and the EBU numbers of those attending. Alternatively, EBU members can book via My EBU using this booking link or by calling Lisa Miller (Monday – Wednesday on 01296 317217).
Price £72 per session for EBU members, £80 for non EBU members.
Club directory – please update your club details
A reminder for clubs, please check your club details in the Club Directory and submit our online club details form. Please log in to check ALL your clubs details are still correct. More information is available via the help link on the club directory page.
Counties, please also update your county officials' details online, county details form.
