"On Pianola if a pair has scores on boards then they appear in the ranking list. If they are marked as missing in EBU Score then they are ranked last in the UMS file, and Pianola will show them as last.""

That's helpful advice thank you Gordon. Our problem is that Pianola can't cope with just marking the Robots missing. EBUscore leaves the scores in regardless to the robot pair being missing. Logic tells Pianola that it needs to assign those points …

By making any adjustment it changes the actual course of events without any real justification. As Gordon commented the result of the human players is artificially adjusted also. The legality of that is questionable. What would the EBU's stance be o…

I have now got this to work. I had inadvertently left a score in on my test. It will only work by removing every score so this actually changes the results because the opposing pair on the deleted boards obviously did play in the session if only…

We would like to mark the Robot pairs as missing in our club. We can do this in EBUScore and load it directly to EBU. However, We upload our scores via Pianola so that we can report statistics. Pianola will not load results with a missing pai…

Hi Robin,
Although Usebio states that the total number of <pairs> isn't required Usebio does rely on all the other Pair Child Elements being present where relevant. Perhaps it couldn't perform the calculation because the participant info… -
Many thanks Jeffrey. I assumed it was due to EBUscore not knowing there was a Sitout but couldn't think of a way to sort it out. Robin has put me straight on this. It's a case of editing the converted XML file to increase the pair number by one.…

Many thanks Robin for finding a solution to this problem. I edited my copy of the xml file as suggested and this worked perfectly.

Thanks Robin
The pairs element was in the XML file and I checked these for ever board played. The names loaded into EBUScore fine and displaying travellers by name also showed fine other than an E was present by the side of the one NS pair des… -
Thanks Jeffrey. There are several workarounds, which can be written into our manual. However, it's standard practice to go into Player Names to check for visitors etc. and that's where the Print Names function is. It seems logical, if it could be …

Thank you Jeffrey. There are a fair number of Swiss Pairs run at our club. It would be useful & consistent with Pairs Scorer but we can manage without if it's a lot of effort to build it into a future update.

Hi Peter, Many thanks I can see that works. However, there is limited time during a game and some of our scorer's aren't overly confident on the computer. We would encourage everyone to go into Player Names to check for visitors etc. and it s…

Hi Johnathan,
I tried again this morning and it worked fine. Thank you for very much for all your help with this.
We have successfully upgraded to V 1.2.6 at our club today with the exception of Individuals. When we ran this it sh… -
I just downloaded Johnathan but it's still the same. Pairs exe when run doesn't let you select a folder. Linda

That's fantastic. Thank you so much Jonathan we really appreciate that. Linda

Thank you for your prompt response. If it's of any help I have tested at home loading a previous version 1.2.1 to a folder. When I then run the pairs download V 1.2.6 it seems to remember the last path and automatically updates the last version…

Many thanks for that. I will pass this on to Johnathan.
