Thank you both. I am glad you agree with me :)
The TD at the time awarded 12 tricks and I accepted this. Only later did I realise it was wrong. -

The 1N is announcable as 'up to 11 points' or similar

Oddly our server started to play up yesterday. It kept losing contact with the individual bridgemate units then reestablishing contact after a while. This made it very difficult to enter the scores as error messages kept appearing. Repeated pr…

You keep using the phrase 'lowest sufficient bid' which is NOT what the law says. For 27b1a to apply you need to make the lowest sufficient bid which specifies (shows) hearts.
-
It is not to do with partner's artificial bid. It is because the replacement call is artificial.
2d p 2h (replacing 1h) is artificial, it does NOT show hearts, so partner has to pass.
2c p 3c (replacing 1c) shows clubs so 27b1a appli… -
I don't usually play a multi 2D but I would have thought that 4H is 'pass or correct' and thus shows hearts and spades.
... but I was also wondering what is lowest sufficient bid which specifies Hearts. -
If we had allowed the 2H under 27B1 (wrongly imho) then I would not adjust under 27D. 27D does not refer to logical alternatives; it refers to gaining assistance through the infraction. I think that without the infraction NS should reach 4H eas…

I think that after the 2H bid, 27B2 applies, not 27B1. North must pass for the rest of the auction.
1H specifies Hearts, 2H does not (27b1a). Also, 2H is not a comparable call (27B1b).
Maybe the TD did not explain Law 27 properly bef… -
If the conditions of the contest allow teams of 6 (or 8) then that is fair as it applies to all teams. If one team chooses to play with only 4 players then that is their choice.
-
'award an adjusted score' can mean any adjustment e.g. changing 4H making for NS into 4S-2 for EW, or vice versa.
-
RealBridge does have this facility.
-
I cannot find this regulation in the Blue Book.

Thank you Barrie.
Sheffield BC was one of the web sites I looked at but I didnt see this document. I have now found it.
Do I have permission to copy sections of it (mainly those quoted above) for discussion at our next Committee meet… -
I agree that the sequence 1S X does not necessarily show (specify) any suit for the examples Gordon has given.
However in the OP East has passed initially. Does this not make it much more likely that they have a Heart suit?
-
Thank you. I will try that next time.
-
I think it must refer to the partner of the person who requested the undo.
-
This happened again yesterday at our club. It was noticed during round 1. At the end of the round I reset the server and copied all the results back from EBUscore to the server and thus to the Bridgemates. However the Bridgemates were still sh…

Correct ruling. Lazy claim. All declarer had to do was say 'playing clubs' or something similar; very easy to do on Realbridge.
-
I have had a player who said they didnt want to play with a robot when their partner crashed and hadn't returned for a while. I said they would have to take Ave- if they refused the robot and they were happy with this. Their partner was back by…

I have recently been thinking the same as Jeremy myself. Indeed to Iogged on today intending to start a post on the topic.
Presumably clubs dont have to follow the SkyBlue book and could try the suggestion themselves.
The rule in the… -
Ignore my previous post. I have now worked it out.
Thank you Jonathan; I had not realised BBOtoXML had this function.
-
How can BBO to XML work with RealBridge?
-
I have been experimenting with this today.
First I should say that I am no expert; I did not know that by adding a PAIRS element to the xml file I could get it to import into EBU score. Having tried this it worked for the simple xml file…
-
I find that tidying up names and adding missing EBU numbers can be done easily using an xml editor. To add artificial scores or weighted scores I need to be able to import the xml file into a scoring program.
-
I was about to post a very similar question. I have not yet managed to import a RB xml file into EBU score at all.

You could always use the x character for multiply: 42=6x7

... and unlike Bridge Club Live. In BCL if one defender claims the other gets a pop-up box asking whether they agree with the claim.

To be legal shouldn't your agreement be, " this is our only forcing opening bid, normally strong but occasionally intermediate values if S, H or D, but always strong if Clubs"

I think you have forgotton to include the MPs available to the pairs playing in the same direction as the pair who scored Nil against the top pair which is 2RT(T-1).
2R(T-2)(T-1) + 2RT(T-1) = 2R(T-1)(T-1)
