Congratulations to Sally Brock who has added to her hugely impressive haul of international medals, after winning the silver medal in the Mixed Teams at the World Bridge Series in Orlando. This follows her victory in the Women's teams competition earlier in the event.
Playing as part of the Wilson team, Sally fell just short of a second World title in as many weekends, the Manfield team coming from behind in the second half of the final to take the gold medal.
Two other teams with English participants reached the last 16 of the competition: Rosenthal (David Gold & Marusa Gold); & Gillis (Simon Gillis);
In the Mixed Pairs competition, the leading English pair was Sarah & Mike Bell who finished ninth. Frances Hinden & Graham Osborne also reached the A Final. In the Open Pairs, David Bakhshi & Artur Malinowski came 14th.
