Simon Cope has finished as part of the runners-up team in the recent Vanderbilt teams, one of the most prestigious competitions on the American bridge calendar. Simon was part of the team captained by Vinita Gupta along with Danes Emil Jepsen, Andreas Meister and Morten Bilde. They were defeated by Andrew Rosenthal and his team Boye Brogeland Aaron Silverstein, Chris Willenken, Christian Bakke and Jan Jansma.
