If you have watched the new Wes Anderson film on Netflix, eagle eyed viewers may have spotted the interior of one of our EBU clubs and a couple of EBU members in one scene.

The film, titled The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, stars Ralph Fiennes, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley and Richard Ayoade. Adapted from a Roald Dahl short story, the film follows Henry Sugar, a wealthy man, who decides to take on an extraordinary challenge - he wants to master an extraordinary skill in order to cheat at gambling games.

The scene in question takes place at Maidstone Bridge Club and features club members Richard Sissons, Martin Foreman, Josephine Bygrave, Linda Catt and Robin Catt. Look out for Richard and co. in the 2-minute scene at the 25 minute mark.

Film location tourism is a growing trend, if you would like to visit and play at the club to see where the magic happened, contact Maidstone Bridge Club.
