Notice of elections to be held at AGM

The period for making a nomination for the EBU Board and Standing Committees closed last week. We can report that the following elections will take place at the AGM which will held on Wednesday 22nd November at the Imperial Hotel, London.

Voting papers will be issued at the AGM to shareholders, or their duly nominated proxies.

The Board

The nominees are as follows:-

Jeremy Dhondy
Rob Lawy
Ian Payn
Paul Roberts

Four candidates have been nominated and have agreed to stand. There will therefore need to be an election for the three positions available, each serving a three year term of office expiring in 2020.

The current 2016/17 elected Board of Directors are as follows:

* Please note at the last AGM a commitment was made to equalise the election of members of the Board who are elected each year in line with 11.9b of the Articles.

Mr Dhondy and Mr Payn are standing for re-election as Chairman & Vice-Chairman respectively.

The Board of Directors may also appoint a further Director for 1 year at a time.

The Selection Committee

The current elected members of the Committee are as follows:

The election this year will therefore be for four positions, as currently held by Ms Fawcett and Mr Townsend and there are also two further vacancies in respect of Mr Burgess and Mr Hackett who resigned during this year.

Four nominations have been received for the four vacancies. The nominees are as follows:

Although there is no requirement for an election, a vote is required to ascertain the term of office for each nominee. Three are required for a three year term of office expiring in 2020, and one for a two year term of office expiring in 2019.
