Bridge - It's a Big Deal! Update from Tony Russ

EBU Vice-Chair Tony Russ, gives an update and personal message about the upcoming Bridge - It's a Big Deal! Festival of bridge.

Planning for the Bridge – It’s A Big Deal! Festival is progressing well. View our festival pages to search for events near you, either via our Map of Events or List of Events. If your club is not yet listed, please email festival@ebu.co.uk with the name of your club, the name/type of event you are hosting and the date it is being held, we will then add your details to our lists.

WHO CAN GET INVOLVED

You don’t have to be a seasoned bridge pro to get involved! Whether you’re a member of a bridge club, part of a golfing community, or a regular at your local U3A group, there’s a place for you at the Festival of Bridge. And yes, that includes all you bridge aficionados who enjoy hosting games at home – every rubber bridge, Chicago showdown, or "Barbie" themed bridge afternoon can make a difference!

Some clubs have already started their events and fundraising, thanks to Cross in Hand Bridge Club, Caterham Bridge Club and members of Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme Bridge Centre for supporting the EBU donations page for Cancer Research UK.

We hope that bridge players will come together to celebrate, to spread the word that bridge is a wonderful game and that by working together we can have fun as well as playing our part in helping to beat cancer.

We are inviting all clubs, counties and players to take part in this very special Festival. We hope to see as many clubs and bridge players at this first take on what we hope to be an annual event.
