The Portland Bowl Finals took place this weekend, 22nd - 23rd April 2023 at the famous Portland Club in London.
In the semi-finals, Cambridge A beat Oxford A by 18 IMPs (87-69), and Imperial A beat Imperial B by 19 IMPs (124-105).
In the final, Cambridge A beat Imperial A by 134 IMPs (186-52). The Cambridge line-up (pictured, from left to right), included Alberto Racca, Lily Kearney (captain), Theo Sinclair & Oscar Selby. This is Cambridge’s first win since 2020, and Imperial’s first appearance in the final of the Portland Bowl since 2014. The Imperial team were Ervin Wee, Zitai Wang, Lee Ann Madissoon & Ben Lewis.
In the Portland Bowl Plate final (the consolation event), UCL A beat Durham A by 116 IMPs (193-77). The UCL A team were Jiezhen Miao, Qianhui (Ivy) Chen, Eugene Lam & Bowan Tam (picture).
In the Portland Bowl 3rd place playoff, Oxford A beat Imperial B by 101 IMPs (183-82).
