We are sad to report the death of former EBU Chair Denis Robson. Denis first joined the EBU Board in 1995 and became Vice-Chair in 1999 before being elected Chair from 2002-2006.
Denis was a self-confessed bridge addict after being introduced to the game as a young boy. A regular in the Lancashire county side, a Gold Cup finalist and with an England international cap to his name (Denis played for England against Northern Ireland in the Camrose on 21st February 1976 partnering Bernard Goldenfield), he was a worthy Grand Master.
We extend our sympathy to all his family and friends. His funeral will be held on Wednesday 27th March at 12.00. The funeral mass will take place at St John's RC Church, High Lane, Chorlton-cum-Hardy M21 9EE. Further details can be found on the Manchester Contract Bridge Association website.
