The Tollemache Cup (intercounty teams of eight) Final was held at the weekend and was won convincingly by Manchester (pictured): Nicholas Greer, Phillip Taylor, Alan Mould, John Holland, John Hassett, Jeff Morris, Tom Slater & Alec Smalley. Manchester scored 99 IMPs, Middlesex were second with a score of 83 IMPs and Cams & Hunts were just behind in third with 80 IMPs. This is the second year in a row a team from Manchester have won the event, last year was the county's first win in the event.
