Bid72 have a new video series, Pros and Cons, which looks at bidding dilemmas with championship players. The first short video features Zia Mahmood, looking at a bidding problem from the Dutch national contest. The next video in the series will feature England international Jason Hackett discussing bidding problems presented by the Bid72's random deals. In the Bid72 EBU Bidding Contest, there are different ranked groups (A, B, C and New). The aim of the bidding contest is to bid with your own chosen partner and your preferred system, using the app bid72.
First time players compete in the New group. Each month there is a relegation or promotion of players, during this time new players are also placed into one of the three groups depending on their score. This service is completely free for EBU members and made available by bid72, the premium app on bridge bidding.
Following the June monthly score the pair at the top of group A is the partnership of AlexG-PaulG with a current average score of 8.16. In second place are DaveS-BrianA, and in third place are StephenW-BillM.
In group B, four partnerships will be promoted to group A, they are; Hol-Carolin; StuartK-StephenT; DaveA-JillA and Zumba42-RedWine624.
In the New Group, one partnerships will be promoted to group B, they are; nj-Nickisgreat.
