Following feedback on the changes made last year to the blue book, the Laws & Ethics Committee have reviewed several elements of the book and produced a new draft, with proposed changes, which you can now read in full using the links below.
In summary there are four main areas of change:
- A widening of the use of announcements
- No alerting of doubles after the first round of bidding unless they refer to a specific suit
- A representation and some relaxation of 2+ level opening bids
- Introduction of a Glossary for terms often used in the Blue Book
