Scott & Plumley, and Hauge team, win main events in Guernsey

The ten-day Guernsey Congress concluded on Sunday in the same way it started the weekend before - with an emphatic victory in the Swiss competition.

On the first weekend Alan Scott & Robert Plumley took the Swiss Pairs title by 19 VPs from Gary Hyett & Alan Cooke. On the second weekend, Rune Hauge, Reidar Laland, Erik Saelensmind & Dan McIntosh were even more dominant, finishing the Swiss Teams 24 VPs ahead of Gary Hyett, Alan Cooke, Maureen Stairs & Brian Stairs. This was the fourth consecutive year that Rune and Reidar have won the competition.
