July's competition for our online games, hosted by Funbridge, has concluded. July was the first month of the handicap ladder, for the players whose scores exceed their NGS by the greatest amount. Wendy Nuttall scored an average of 57.54 over her top six games, with a handicap of 12.64, winning her £10. There is also a prize for second place, won by Anton Mauve.
In the main July matchpoints ladder, Dominic Connolly finished top of the leader board. His best six scores in the month averaged 65.79%, and he wins £30. There were also cash prizes for second to fifth places.
July was the first month with the new changes with the Funbridge games. They now take place on every day of the year, with Monday and Friday games being scored by IMPs. Another innovation started this month is that all games will run midnight - midnight (24 hours) and you can start at any time, stopping and restarting as often as needed. Master Points are awarded in every game, and as well as the monthly competition, there is also an annual competition with cash prizes.
