From the Chairman:

  • I'd like to congratulate all our teams on their fine showing in the recently completed World Championships in Wuhan. All four teams qualified for the Quarter Final from the round robin with our Mixed team winning the qualifying event. The open team had a tough quarter final against the USA and despite an early lead couldn't hold on but our other three teams proceeded to the semi-finals. The Women and Mixed lost but the Women won their bronze medal play off against the Netherlands on the very last board and our Senior's team won their semi-final and were silver medal winners losing the final narrowly.
All in all an excellent performance and one I think the membership will join with me in saying well done to our teams.
