Seniors Congress Player Information

For all members booked to play in the EBU Seniors Congress, please see the below information, which has also been sent via email:

The first session will start at 11am Tuesday 5th December.

RealBridge player links for each session will be on the results page.

You will also find the programme and other information on the event results page along with the links for the sessions as they become available.

Calls are alerted by the partner of player making the call, using the alert strip. Calls are announced by the partner of the player making the call making a verbal announcement– it is not necessary to click the Alert strip for announcements. Follow-up questions should be made verbally to the partner of the player who made the call. Bids and passes above 3NT should be alerted only if required by the face-to-face rules.

Please note that you are required to use video and audio. Please note, you will need to restart your device before playing to allow any pending updates to take place. You cannot join and play using a phone.

You should provide your opponents with a link to your system card. You can upload a link to your card to RealBridge at the start of the event, or paste a link in chat at the start of each round. If you do not already have one, please upload your system card as a pdf to your My EBU, under utilities, system card, and follow the instructions provided. Help in creating a system card and converting it to a pdf.

Undos are only allowed in the auction for mis-clicks, or for cases of misinformation. You should call the TD if there is any doubt about accepting the UNDO.

When you log on to play, please enter your name as found on your EBU record, in proper case (eg John Smith, not JOHN SMITH, john smith or John S), along with your EBU number without leading zeros (105719 not 00105719).

For emergency assistance before play, contact Robin Barker 01296 317223. The TD in charge on Tuesday and Wednesday will be David Stevenson, on Thursday the TD in charge will be Gary Conrad. Colin Simcox will be assisting.
