The Crockfords Cup final took place over the weekend and was won by team Leslie: Ben Norton, Kieran Dyke, Michael Byrne & Mike Bell (pictured from left). Tim Leslie & Ollie Burgess, not pictured, played in earlier rounds. The Leslie team and the Garvey team (John Carroll, Nick Fitzgibbon, Tommy Garvey, Tom Hanlon, Mark Moran & Adam Mesbur) both finished the day with 71 victory points in the closely contested seven team final, team Leslie won the split tie due to having won the head to head match.
In third place were the Allfrey team of Peter Crouch, Espen Erichsen, Zia Mahmood & Richard Plackett (plus Alexander Allfrey & Andrew Robson who played in earlier rounds) who finished with 62 VPs from their six matches.
This was a first victory in the event for all players in the Leslie team.
The Crockfords Plate - the consolation competition for those beaten in the first round of the Cup - was won by Harry Anoyrkatis, Tim Brierley, Jim Grant & Graham Hartley (picture). They finished on 84 VPs, with the team of Derek Oram, Celia Oram, Dee Lindon & Peter Lindon in second on 70 VPs.
