I am Aleks Birdsall. I started learning bridge in 2019 when I was 11 years old. My parents both play bridge so I would say I was always going to learn. We enjoyed playing as a family for a long time before in January 2021, I was offered to join the England U16 squad. Since then, I have almost never turned back.
It's just a shame my football team, Southampton, have. We are unbearable to watch. The things I do outside bridge include playing cricket, playing badminton occasionally and playing in the Hampshire County Youth Brass Band. I love skiing also and religiously watch Ski Sunday every Sunday in January and February each year.
