Nick Sandqvist

I was born in Sweden just around the time man took his first steps on the moon, and started playing Bridge around the age of fourteen. After being on and off the Swedish junior team for a number of years, I moved to London in 1995 to play rubber for a living.

In 2000 I hooked up with Janet de Botton and we formed the de Botton Bridge Team, winning several national and international trophies.

I’ve played in the Camrose with Rob Cliffe, Tony Priday and Artur Malinowski, and with Artur I’ve also won two European Bronze, one European silver and one World silver medal.

In 2007 I started running the London Super League, and in 2011 I took over as manager of the Young Chelsea BC where I stayed for 8 years.

These days I enjoy playing slightly less stressful Bridge with my regular partner, Nathalie, as well as honing my Backgammon skills.
